The PSOE promotes in the Assembly the inclusion of Enotourism in the National Catalog of Professional Qualifications and asks Education to implement a cycle of FP in Jumilla (14/02/2018)

The Deputy of the Socialist Parliamentary Group Yolanda Fernández has shown her satisfaction at the end of the Education and Culture Committee, for the approval of her initiative in which she requests, on the one hand, the Government of Spain to adopt the necessary measures for the creation of a new family within the National Catalog of Professional Qualifications called Enotourism;

and on the other hand, that once created, the Ministry of Education and Universities promote the creation of a vocational training course on Enotourism, which is implemented in the Institute of Secondary 'Infanta Elena de Jumilla'.

Enotourism is a growing economic activity in Spain and Europe and with extensive professionalization needs, as it has been confirmed in the last meetings and meetings of RECEVIN, ACEVIN and the Routes of Wine Product Club of Spain.

In this sense, the socialist deputy argues that the hundred wine cities of Spain integrated into ACEVIN, the more than 550 municipalities with the 27 Certified Wine Routes of Spain, three of them in the Region of Murcia (Bullas, Jumilla and Yecla ), and the nearly 2,000 companies that constitute them throughout Spain represent a wide range of economic and tourist activities linked to the sector, which require the incorporation of professionals in the management of wine tourism services in the respective territories.

"We believe that it is necessary to value the resources of our land linked to an activity that is demonstrating its capacity to generate employment and development in towns and counties."

On the other hand, in the opinion of Yolanda Fernández, "in this way we update the offer of Vocational Training in the region, in a branch that is growing and, therefore, increase the chances that all those who carry out these studies and obtain the degree they have more options in the labor market. "

This initiative has been approved with a transaction, which calls for the promotion of training specializations aimed at employed and unemployed workers, in order to allow them greater specialization in this area and the future obtainment of professional certificates.
