Today the works that have consisted of the complete renovation of the road, sidewalks and drinking water and sanitation networks are finished.
A bike path has been installed next to the south sidewalk, linking Avenida de la Libertad with Ronda Poniente.
Today the works of the avenue of El Casón are finished, reason why this same afternoon it is foreseen that it is opened to the traffic after the renovation of infrastructures and services that has kept it cut during the last two months.
This morning has been visited by the Councilor for Works and Services, Francisco González, accompanied by the manager of the company awarded, José Ayllonza.
The work has consisted in the complete renovation of the road, sidewalks and drinking water and sanitation networks.
A bicycle lane has been placed next to the south side of the avenue, which joins Avenida de la Libertad with Ronda Poniente.
It has two lanes, delimited with the roadway by alternating asymmetric modular road separators of recycled rubber.
In addition, the architectural barriers have been eliminated and parking spaces have been indicated, including for people with reduced mobility.
You can only park vehicles next to the north sidewalk.
Likewise, traffic lights have been adapted, as well as vertical traffic signs and road markings.
Due to the width of the same, the circulation of the avenue will be from now on in only one direction, from west to east, from Ronda Poniente to Avenida de la Asunción.
"The decision of the sense was taken giving participation to the neighbors of the zone, realizing two meetings so that they were they that they thought", has indicated the councilman Francisco González.
This is one of the actions of the Works and Services Plan 2017, which has had a cost of 157,000 euros, of which 100,000 have come from the CARM and the remaining 57,000 euros have been contributed by the City of Jumilla.
The winning company, which has carried out the work, has been Ayllonza.
