The Association of Relatives of Alzheimer and other dementias (AFAD) of Jumilla has appointed renowned researcher Miguel Marín Padilla as president of Honor.
This appointment took place in an emotional ceremony held last Saturday at the Centro Cultural Partner Roque Baños, attended by various officials, including Mayor Francisco Abellán Jumilla and members of the association.
In his speech, Miguel Marín Padilla was visibly moved and recognized "not able to explain in words the enormous gratitude that I have with Jumilla by all the recognition that you are taking me and I keep with great feeling."
Earlier, the newly appointed Honorary President of AFAD made a brief tour of his memories in Jumilla and his trip to America.

He recalled that most of the city's favorite sons have a building with his name and suggested that the newly opened Day Centre be named after Miguel Marín Padilla.
