The Way of the Cross of Good Friday, beginning a few days full of events of Easter and its 600 anniversary (19/04/2011)

On the night of Good Friday Solemn Stations of the Cross celebrates Jumilla, the beginning of the ceremonies of Holy Week.

This year, many events and activities that will develop the coming days until Easter Sunday, many of them new and relative to the 600 anniversary.

Among others, following the Stations of the Cross took place one of the Drums Drums Association of Blood Christ and the Palm Sunday procession.

The Brotherhood, during the evening of Good Friday, have their steps on altars prepared for this purpose, in a perfect environment for night runs through the Via Crucis, chaired by one of the images of Christ crucified for those involved in Holy Week.

Residents are actively collaborating with the Board in the ornamentation of the different seasons of penance Chaired by the Christ of Forgiveness, the parade traveled around Jumilla streets, from the parish church of Santiago to the parish of El Salvador.

With fourteen steps and stations of the Agony in the Garden, Denial of St. Peter, Christ Humbled, Crown of Thorns, Christ of the Judgement, Christ in the Fall, Cristo de la Misericordia, Veronica, First Lady of Pain, Santa Maria Magdalena, Expiration Christ, Cristo de la Salud, Virgen de la Piedad and the Holy Sepulchre.

Organized by the Association of Cristo de la Sangre Drums, involving hundreds of drummers of all ages who managed to dye several streets of lilac Jumilla up to the Plaza de Arriba where some of the drummers continued until dawn.

Sunday saw the procession of the Palms which contains the apostles with Jesus, standing on the traditional Burrica and numerous children dressed as Jews who accompany him.

During the procession, Jesus is reciting the prophecy about the destruction of Jerusalem.

This procession involved, as well as various religious and civil authorities, representatives of all the brotherhoods, and the Central Board of the Brotherhood of Holy Week.

In the coming days will be held, among other acts, the penitential procession of Cristo de la Vida, or Procession of Silence, a representation of Jesus' Arrest, Arrest and Processions of Bitterness.
