After a few days after the end of Easter 2011, unfortunately, you have to take stock with numerous events and processions have been suspended due to rain and even hail.

More than 30 liters per square meter, both on Thursday and Saturday, landed in the town of Jumilla, sometimes accompanied by hail, which caused the cancellation of events like the traditional Holy Thursday concert, the interruption of the procession of Bitterness and the procession scheduled for Friday evening with old images, the Great Burial Holy Saturday and Easter Sunday procession, among others.

Some of these processions did not go out, but others do, so that rain and hail fell in a short time caused the confusion and chaos.

It is claimed in some media from the Central Board and failing to quantify in detail the main damage occurred in robes and embroidery, as most of the images could take refuge in various protected areas of the raging storm.

By contrast, bad weather respected Silent procession Holy Tuesday, the Arrest, the procession of Jesus Prendido of Holy Wednesday, the parade of Manolo and his visit to the monuments and the procession to Calvary on Good Friday.

Holy Week this year was closed on Sunday with the traditional meeting between the Virgin and the Risen Lord, but somewhere other than the street was positive, but no procession.

As no special processions were held in this 600 th anniversary, the old image and that of the Great Burial where you would be able to look at 23 sculptors, 35 steps and 70 images.

On the Great Burial and sources said the Central Board, not ruled out the procession along this year, at the request unanimous and majority of the people, though, they say, this will be decided at a future board meeting where examine this possibility should have full permissions.

Jumilla Mayor Francisco Abellán has made an assessment of this Easter 2011 stating that "Unfortunately the rain has prevented the holding of various events, but what we have to get it to work and enthusiasm that have put thousands of People in these celebrations, as well as the many activities commemorating the 600 anniversary have been held since last year and will go down in history through publications and artwork. "

For most Jumillano and Jumillano, as well as the many visitors was sad not to live fully the Easter in which many people place their efforts and dreams, but it should be noted, once again, that the days time allowed people took to the streets to share with fervor Jumillano Passion Week.
