The Artisan House hosts the show 'Jumilla, art and tune' with which celebrates its fourth anniversary (27/04/2011)

La Casa del Artesano de Jumilla celebrates its fourth anniversary with a group exhibition entitled "Art and Temple Jumilla", organized by the Templars of Jumilla.

The exhibition was inaugurated last week, with the presence of various authorities, including the Mayor of Jumilla Francisco Abellán, Councilman Crafts Ildefonso Jimenez, the head of the Association of the Knights Templar and exhibition curator Josep Tomas i Galea, the President of the Association of Artisans Eduardo Gea, and several of the participating artists.

Ildefonso Jimenez appreciated "the work done during these four years, both by the council, and the Association of Craftsmen, with over 37 exhibitions and have been more than 700 craft pieces."

"I think we have put the craft in the proper place, so we are very satisfied," said the councilor of the area who also had words of thanks to the responsible for Molina Fine Artisan House, and all who worked during these four years.

He thanked the predisposition of the Templars Association to organize this exhibition.

The exhibition 'Jumilla, Arts and Temple' includes paintings, ceramics, sculpture, and pyrography by artists such as Dolores Balsalobre, Saorin, Marhuenda, Maria Gloria Giraldo, Antonio Lasheras, Arango, Paco Abellán, Perez Ibarra, Felix Redondo, Angel Anguix José Vives, Daniel Gomez, Angel Francisco Cutillas, Elisha Thomas, Pascual Jimenez, and the potter Bernard Sanchez Jumillano Supplemented craftwork of prison industries in Girona (Catalonia), Psychiatric Sevilla, Zuera (Zaragoza), together with handicrafts made by students of the School Jumillano Rural hamlet of Cañada del Trigo.

The president stressed that "what matters here are the artists who show their work and many of which are featured artists with important prizes nationally and internationally, as Jesus Saorin Lozano, Maria Dolores Balsalobre or Angel Francisco Cutillas, present here among many others. "

The artist Lozano congratulated Saorin initiatives such as "through these concerns is achieved lasting culture thanks to people like these."

Finally, Francisco Abellán he congratulated all "to the artisans for their work, all presidents have been of the Association of Craft, to the council for its work in these four years and the Association of Templar by this sample, and the participating artists for their works. "

The mayor also stressed "the Jumillano that are in other places, like i Galea Saorin or Thomas, but his heart is in Jumilla and are always willing to collaborate."

At the event, both the mayor and the president of the Templars received a gift by the council of Handicrafts and also the artists were presented, with the help of the Templars Jumillano, with a dagger templar.

The shows 'Jumilla, Arts and Temple' can be seen in the Artisan's House, until May 7, from 12:00 to 14:00

and 18:00 to 20:00 h.
