During yesterday morning, Mayor, Enrique Jimenez, accompanied by the Councillor for Social Services and Immigration, John Calabuig, received at City Hall, the Consul of Ecuador, Cecilia Erique and the Consul of Bolivia, Yuri Arce, and representatives associations of Ecuadorians and Bolivians living in Jumilla.
During the meeting could be various issues related to immigration, and cultural environment and the situation of the Ecuadorian and Bolivian today.
Used the visit to apply in person, although I formally requested in writing, the celebration of Inti Raymi (in Quechua "Fiesta del sol") 2012 in Jumilla.
The "Festival of the Sun" is scheduled to take place in our town on June 16 in the afternoon, although not yet defined venue.
The activities to be developed are cultural through samples of music and dances from their region with the aim to reach people, a small sample of their culture, revealing and customs, also is an opportunity to multiculturalism.
