So far, seven cases have been detected related to this illegal activity

The Civil Guard in the region of Murcia has developed an investigation related to the falsification of documentation of vehicles has resulted in the arrest of two people in Jumilla.

The detainees are charged with the crime of falsification of public document, and seized the label used for this illegal activity and documentation of vehicles affected.

Last March, Civil Guard officers were aware of the existence of a group of people who might be in Jumilla with corruption related to the transfer of vehicles from driving schools, through illegal transactions.

He immediately began a research process in order to verify the information obtained and eradicate if the commission of such offenses in the arrest of the authors.

The result of this arrangement, the Civil Guard was able to unmask this criminal plot with the identification of two people allegedly involved in these events in addition to finding his acting illegally.

Modus operandi

Vehicles from driving schools have dual controls for driving, one for students and others to the teacher.

To effect the transfer (sale) of such holders other than vehicles driving schools, we need a technical amendment made by qualified staff (delete the controls installed for the driving instructor) and subsequent approval in an extraordinary inspection ITV station.

This activity began with the acquisition of a seal similar to a station official ITV, which in this case corresponded to that of one located in the province of Alicante, a situation that facilitated the steps taken in Murcia to be more difficult to detect counterfeiting.

Was crudely suppressed the vehicle controls for the teacher, lowering the costs involved in the work of a professional and falsifying an official document of the technical characteristics of the vehicle (ITV card) have been favorably simulating specific modification to the vehicle, for finally process the documentation for the transfer of the vehicle to a particular counterfeit sheet ITV.

Once obtained all necessary evidence and after locating the suspects, they proceeded to arrest and subsequent remand in custody on suspicion of continuing offense of falsification of public documents, besides making the seizure of the means used for commission of the crimes.

After an exhaustive analysis of information obtained in the research process, so far seven have been clarified criminal acts.

Detainee

As part of this research has proceeded to the arrest of two persons suspected of the crime of falsification of public document, identified as:

- Spanish, 30-year-old resident of Jumilla.

- Spanish, 64-year-old resident of Jumilla.

Effects seized:

We have also seized the effects needed to develop this illegal activity as counterfeit labels and documentation ITV stations for seven vehicles.

The detainees, seized and proceedings initiated effects have been made available to the Court of Instruction No. 2 of Jumilla (Murcia).

This research was carried out by Civil Guard officers assigned to the Traffic Sector Murcia (GIAT) and Principal Position Jumilla (Murcia).
