Municipalities committed to the Covenant of Mayors

The need to increase energy efficiency in municipalities form part of the objectives of the "20-20-20" European Commission within its strategic energy plan for 2020, which includes proposals addressing energy security , climate, emissions targets, as well as the increased use of clean energy.

To achieve these objectives, it is expected to mobilize in the Region of Murcia one € 450 million in facility energy efficiency and renewables over the next eight years, what will be done through public-private partnership formulas.
