Opened exposure paleontological XV Anniversary of the Hoya de la Sima (05/12/2012)

The exhibition consists of 60 photographs, will be on display in the multipurpose room of the Museum of Ethnography and Natural Sciences until 13 January.

The Mayor, Enrique Jimenez, accompanied by Emiliano Cayetano Hernandez and Herreño, presented the exhibition celebrating the fifteenth anniversary of Icnitas Reservoir of Hoya de la Sima.

An exhibition showing the work done over the last fifteen years, since the deposit was discovered through photographs accompanied by explanatory texts of the different actions taken.

At the opening of the exhibition was also attended IU spokesman, Jose Antonio Perez.

About 60 photographs in 17 panels, provide the most outstanding performances that have been made over the years, since the discovery of the site, visiting scientists, several renovations and restorations to the current date, Cayetano said Herrero.

The site of La Hoya de la Sima is the only one, along with the Sierra de las Cabras, which is protected within the paleontological sites in the Region of Murcia.

The Natural History Museum is also very important for the collections of palaeontology, geology and science, home.

This exhibition, along with the DVD of the reservoir that was screened recently, make a complete visit and didactic.

Is already scheduled visits to schools and have received requests from other museums who want to host this exhibition, said Herrero.
