Presented officially VI Masters Tour of Murcia and the International Cycling Week III Fire, to be held at our location next year (20/12/2012)

The Mayor, Enrique Jimenez and the Councillor for Sports, Juan Manuel Abellán, accompanied by Mariano Sanchez, Manager of the Consortium for Fire Fighting, Ruben Lopez, Firefighter and head of the organizing committee, Jose Lopez, President of the Cycling Federation of the Region of Murcia, and Concepcion Villa, President of the Association organizes sports activities, presented the Vuelta a Murcia VI and III Masters International Cycling Week Fire, to be held at our location next year.

The International Cycling Week III Fire, will be held on 18 and 19 May in our area, with Spain Cycling Championship Fire.

From 20 to 24 May will be a march bike, which will bring together sport, culture coexistence and publicizing our gastronomic and cultural region, with visits to wineries and tours of the Coast, the Northwest and the Ricote Valley.

Zaragoza raced Murcia to host this International Week, where firefighters Andorra, Portugal and Southern France will visit our region.

Day 18 in Santa Ana, the test will consist of a mountain bike route of seven laps and fifty kilometers.

On day 19, the route will be less demanding, but will be more technical.

Jose Lopez along Concepcion Villa, presented the fourth edition of the Tour of Murcia Master, to be held at our location on 12, 13 and 14 April 2013.

The test, which is consolidated over the years, is reserved for senior categories to master 60, with the participation of cyclists coming from basic categories, many of them former professional cyclists.

This competition will accommodate 200 participants, limited by technical regulations, and the type of competition, whose entries expected to be covered in a short period of time.

It is estimated that around 70% of the test participants are from out of town, so it is expected that they and their families moving to Jumilla to spend the weekend here.

The test is divided into three stages, with departures and arrivals in Jumilla, opens with a 7.5km time trial.

Saturday will be the hardest stage with 105 miles and three mountain passes, and Sunday 90 km flat stage.

Juan Manuel Abellán, thanked you count on our town for the celebration of these two sporting events as important, showing the pride of having a championship in Jumilla Spain to the delight of athletes and visitors.

He wanted to excuse the presence of the Director General of Sports, which has supported these tests since its launch.

The councilor said that the celebration of these tests in Jumilla will generate wealth that will affect our town, both tourist and economically.
