The meeting discussed various issues related to the Ordinance Regulating the occupation of public land with tables and chairs.
Last week, Mayor, Enrique Jimenez, Councillor for Traffic Safety, Marina Garcia, and the Chief of Police, Antonio Luis Mula, held a meeting with President of the Association of Innkeepers of the town, recently constituted , to discuss various issues related to the Ordinance Regulating the occupation of public land with tables and chairs.
The Councillor said that the only aim and purpose of this Ordinance is to ensure the safety of users of the terraces and the pedestrians, especially in areas where there is traffic.
Marina Garcia has also valued highly the creation of this association, expressing his desire to maintain the same meetings as required to achieve all possible agreements, provided that they keep the essence of the Ordinance to ensure the safety of citizens, and that proposals by the association have a favorable report from the municipal technicians.
In addition, a few weeks ago, Councillor, together with the Chief of Police and City Council several technicians, and held a meeting with the local restaurateurs to publicize the changes involve the entry into force of this new ordinance and where restaurateurs revealed his doubts.
