In this Olympiad, will be two categories, one is intended for students of 6th grade, and the other for what they are studying 2nd ESO, and will involve students from the municipalities of Cieza, Jumilla and Yecla.
With this call, is to enable students to discover or increasing penchant for solving problems and overcoming challenges the intellectual satisfaction of logical-mathematical character.
At the same time seeks to participants a relaxed atmosphere in which the competitive aspects are merely a tool to achieve the above objectives and this incentive does not lead in any way to promote competition among different schools.
It also serves to show more playful aspects of mathematical work.
This is an annual event around problem solving and consists of two phases: a county that is held at the IES Archbishop Lozano and a regional to be held this year in Lorca, on May 18, 2013 in which the 20 finalists will participate in the second of ESO and present awards to the winners of the 6th grade of primary school.
The national final will be held in Andorra, from 24 to 28 June 2013.
