Next Friday inaugurated the exhibition looks Iberian women, will be at 12:00 am in the chapter of the Old Palace Council.

It will run until May 12.

The exhibition looks at the woman Iberian reflects the daily life of these women and their special relationship with the gods and the afterlife.

Materials displayed come mostly from Contestania (provinces of Murcia, Albacete and Alicante) and are an important legacy for the reconstruction of the female role in this period.

Through funerary objects such as ceramics indigenous origin or attic is visible the importance of women in this society.

Fusayolas or bone plates show the importance of yarn especially among aristocratic women.

Necklaces, pendants and perfume containers speak of the beauty and value of the dove as a symbol of the feminine are present in several glasses and jewelry.

Finally religiousness was materialized through votive offerings, small offerings left at shrines requests personifying the gods of both sexes.

The exhibition which opens this Friday, has been made possible by a grant from the Ministry of Culture, in '56 45,041 euros to cover the cost of this exhibition.

In this project, started from the Department of Culture of our town, involving different municipalities: Jumilla, Gerona, Castellón de la Plana, Granada and Mula, which provide various original archaeological each of these municipalities, completing activities related exposure such as lectures and roundtables around the importance of women throughout the Dark Ages
