Presented workshops 2013 Interregional Cooperation Project ECOMUJER (14/05/2013)

The Councillor for Equality, Alicia Abellán, the Manager of the Association Northeast regional development, Paco Holy and Technique of it, Teresa Garcia, presented this morning at a press conference, the workshops program will be make this year, within the cooperation program interteritorial ECOMUJER.

The overall objective of the project is to link the skills and efforts of the participating groups, both local action groups such as associations of women participating in the project to advance equality of opportunity, by promoting the involvement of women in environmental maintenance and enhancement of their knowledge on the sustainable use of natural resources.

Alicia Abellán has been commissioned to introduce the participants in the press conference, and has advanced the program of workshops which start this afternoon at the headquarters of the Association of Widows of Jumilla.

Abellán has highlighted the important representation of women's associations of the town in this project because of the nine associations involved in the project, the Shire, seven are municipal associations.

Holy Paco Meanwhile, Manager of the Association, has highlighted the importance of the project which has achieved high participation of women in rural areas and reported about the origin of the project, funded by EAFRD funds, and participation of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia.

Teresa Garcia, has detailed the contents of the seven workshops of Good Environmental Practices:

Workshop headquarters Jumilla Widows Association (starts Tuesday May 14, 2013, and for 5 weeks).

Workshop host the Country Women Association of Las Encebras (begins Wednesday May 15, 2013 and for 5 weeks).

Workshop headquarters of the Association for the Integral Development of Women in Rural, Water and Earth (begins on Thursday May 16, 2013 and for 5 weeks).

Workshop host the Country Women Association of Torre del Rico and Canada del Trigo (starts Friday May 17, 2013, and for 5 weeks).

Topics covered in these workshops are: "Integrated use of water", "Reuse of waste", "Personal Care and Household cleaning", "Consumption and Energy Efficiency", producing chips guides on saving water at home, practices and habits, proposals to reduce the impact of toxic saving guide and responsible consumption.

As a culmination of these workshops will be a visit to the Nature Classroom Guarafía, meeting scheduled for Rural Women aforementioned.

There will be a workshop with aromatic and medicinal plants along with a Evening Dinner with a menu tasting ecological and natural, in the Botanical Gardens.

After dinner the company will stage "Besame Mucho Teatro" will offer a show in your own garden full of humor, songs and sensitivity, a good way to get around the summer nature.

Finally there will be a video projection audiovisual material carried along the workshops.

These first 4 workshops, taught "The Guarafía".

About the workshop at the headquarters of the Association of Rural Women in Fuente del Pino and The AlquerÃa, called "own and home care", will cover topics such as the skin, the mirror of our health "developing topical creams" distillation plant to use oils and perfumes, making natural cosmetics (lip balm, masks and exfoliating gel), development of home cleaning products.

As a technical visit will be a trip to Ceuta where there will be a workshop on Recycled Paper.
