Counterfeit goods seized have reached a value of 12,000 euros on the market
The Guardia Civil has arrested three people suspected of a crime against intellectual property after being caught in the two street stalls who ran in Jumilla weekly market, trying to sell more than a thousand suspected counterfeit clothing .
Agents seized 1,200 Meritorious garment textile prestigious brands, such as shirts and polos, pants, underwear, jerseys and sneakers, all suspected counterfeit.
The performances took place in one of the services established safety prevention by the Guardia Civil in Jumilla, which was developing a monitoring device for the weekly market in the town.
During surveillance detected two street stalls with lots of different clothing trademarks, all suspected counterfeit, so we proceeded to the intervention of all the effects and the arrest of three vendors.
The preliminary analysis has allowed agents to determine the value of the items tapped could exceed 12,000 euros.
Detainee
The Civil Guard have arrested as suspects of crimes against industrial property, three people identified as:
- Spanish, 30 years and resident of Lorquí (Murcia).
- Spanish, 41 years and resident of Elda (Alicante).
- Spanish, 40 years and resident of Elda (Alicante).
One of those arrested has numerous precedents for committing similar crimes.
Seized:
The agents involved 1,215 detainees recognized apparel brands in the textile sector, such as shirts and polos, pants, underwear, jerseys and sneakers, all suspected counterfeit.
The detainees, seized property and proceedings have been made available to the Court of Instruction No. 2 Jumilla (Murcia).
