Unemployment drops in Jumilla in 210 people in the last month (03/10/2013)

During September, 210 people have left unemployment in the town, mostly men from different sectors, with agriculture 139 labor contracts, which registered a further decline, followed by construction with 36 fewer unemployed and the services sector with 23.

As explained by the Councillor for Economy and Employment, Almudena Martinez, "this positive trend observed since April, where 210 people were employed, 235 in May, 183 in July and 210 in the month of September."

Despite this positive trend, the unemployment rate remains high, so it is still working on measures that the City Council, but it is not for itself, can help to lessen the unemployment figures.

In April there was a sharp drop in unemployment, ahead of the trend of previous years, which had been produced more pronounced in the month of May.

The trend changed in August when there was a sharp rise, which may result from the completion of the campaign collects fruit, to make way for the harvest season, the month in which it has been again reduced the number of unemployed.

This trend of falling unemployment can be explained by contracts made in the service sector and collected in the field, which has been brought forward this year starting in April, reaching the month of September with the season of harvest.

From City Hall, as said Martinez, "we are working on job creation through the implementation of various initiatives from the departments of Economics and Employment and Industry, facilitating Jumillano Jumillano launch their business, through self-employment, putting at their disposal both local Idustriales ships, as the necessary technical advice during the start of their business. "

The councilor pointed out that the term is still open to access the ships and local business incubator, and that the pre-incubator, since September 23, has received two applications for local entrepreneurs, who are already receiving technical advice by the Local Development Agent providing this service.

From the Department of Employment and Training, through the office of the town, is also still working on making available to unemployed people, different tools for the job search in the computerized classroom that counts.
