The next Saturday, October 19, marks the International Day against Breast Cancer, and on this occasion, from the Department of Equality of the City of Jumilla and the local board of the AECC, various activities have been scheduled throughout the week to contribute to the awareness and prevention of this disease in the municipality.
The program of events will start tomorrow Wednesday, October 16, with the conference "Women breast cancer survivors in the Region of Murcia: Social Impact Study".
Marina Costa Martinez, social worker AECC in Murcia will be responsible for providing the conference, which will take place at 20.00 hours in the classroom culture of Cajamurcia.
On Friday, October 18, will develop an awareness day with the delivery of educational material in the Health Center and Teatro Vico, which this time adds an information table in the city of Jumilla
The culmination of the activities I will put the March for Women "Get moving against cancer" which will take place on Sunday, October 20th, from access to the castle esplanade.
The expedition will go towards the fort at 11.00, and are expected to be many women and men to join the march to show support for the fight against breast cancer in the municipality.
The singer Jumillano, Andres Martinez, will participate in hosting persons participating in the march with a couple of songs already on the roof of Castillo.
In addition, Friday, October 25, from 11:00 to 12:00 pm in the local radio station, Radio Jumilla, will air a new program of "Equality in waves", which this time will be dedicated to women facing cancer.
