A student receives hands jumillana Minister of Education, a second prize in the 'Security Grows' (24/10/2013)

The Councillor for Social Policy, John Calabuig, attended yesterday in the Ministry of Education, the awards ceremony of the drawing contest 'Growing Security', in which the student CC jumillana Santa Ana, Ana Gregorio Muñoz, was awarded after be selected locally, with a second place.

The Minister of Education, Universities and Employment, Pedro Antonio Sanchez presided over the awards to the students honored for their drawings on the perception of the risks to which they are exposed and preventive measures.

This initiative is to show the students the fundamental concepts in the field of occupational safety in a fun and appropriate to their skill level.

The aim of the promotion and dissemination of the Occupational Health and Safety in education is to get from the earliest ages develop habits of safe and healthy.

The Education Minister said that "education is critical to avoid future risks and helps to create a habit of life, which is useful for students in their day to day and that certainly will avoid accidents when they enter the labor market .'s basic work culture of prevention ".

Among the knowledge acquired by students is to identify and recognize signs of information, know the most common electrical hazards, hazardous chemicals in their environment or remember road safety performances.

Also also works with children in acquiring the correct posture in different load situations and positioning, and observing the different conditions that can cause dangerous accidents at school, street and the house.

This initiative has an active and participative methodology in establishing an appropriate climate for the students to express their ideas and feelings by displaying information panels with safety pictograms and the comic designed for the campaign.

Awards

'Growing Security' also features a drawing competition in all municipalities, in which the past year involving all schools in Jumilla.

Students attend various educational talks, and then graphically display their perception of the risks they are exposed and preventive measures to avoid them.

In the last issue, 137 students participated in the contest Jumillano.

Of all, 10 were selected jobs to go to the regional finals, in which Ana Gregorio Muñoz jumillana has been awarded second place.

The event is part of the actions that are taking place these days in the region to mark the European Week for Safety and Health at Work.
