The writer, anthropologist and midwife, Charo Cutillas was yesterday in Jumilla, presenting his first novel, "Ron flavor" in an activity organized by the Municipal Library, which is framed in the program of cultural activities promoted by the Department of Culture for the last quarter.
It is a novel that Cutillas Charo invites readers to immerse themselves in temporary spaces of various Spanish cities and the world it inhabits the character of his work, and in which plasma much personal experience the author, traveler whose innate curiosity has led her to tour some of the most picturesque in the world, such as the Andes or the Paraguayan jungle among others.
'Taste of Rum' is a novel of initiation in which Teresa describes the experiences of a young teacher who lives far from his hometown, for different job assignments that lead you through various Spanish cities, urban or rural areas, but also the Saharan desert and the Andes mountains.
These experiences have emotional landscape and so interlocked, specific experiences through the development of feelings, where is located the same love, heartbreak, around Luis, a character away from convention and exerts a thread within the maze that is Teresa, the two central characters of the story.
As explained by the author herself, she took a year to complete the work, which have been edited more than 800 copies.
In the words of Cutillas Charo, "writing is a craft and stories only when you want it when you get to relate them."
While not speaking of sequels, recognizes that it is working on a new play, you will not have much to do with this first novel "rum flavor."
