Strengthening Educational Program starts in Jumilla with the first students enrolled (27/02/2014)

As reported by the Youth Council, has already begun working with the first students enrolled in the Program for Educational Support, which at the moment, three students are receiving tutoring classes, held by a volunteer from the University of Murcia.

The project is in collaboration with the Department of Social Outreach and Volunteerism at the University of Murcia, and he university students interested in participating classes offer educational support to students referred from schools for two sessions weekly hour and a half each.

This promotion and personal integration of children and young people from the school, family and society, through a process of capacity development is favored.

Besides helping to prevent and reduce problems of failure, absenteeism and early school leaving.

Over 80 alumni / ae in the courses Youth

Within the Training Plan for the Youth Council this year 2014, in the first quarter and have started a total of four courses offered once, in those who are already involved around 80 young people of the village.

The computer course, already finalized, will run with more content on a proposal from the group of students enrolled, further expanded with 5 new places for all concerned.

The working program is Excel.

The price and duration will be the same, and the schedule, 25 hours, Monday and Wednesday from 20.30 to 22.00.

In the English course for travelers, there are already enrolled 15 people who receive all content in English hand the instructor and the workshop of Latin dances, there are 26 participants and a waiting list of 15, requesting to make another turn which could be initiated if the offer is completed.

Also the first aid course has started with 20 alumni / ae, who learn the skills, attitudes and common skills in first aid.

Reportedly from the Department, the next courses will start once the available places will be the completion of physical expression and relaxation for the remaining 8 seats, and III level French course.

Also the workshop knows your cultural and monumental heritage is about to begin, with the participation of 18 enrolled.

For audiovisual dubbing workshop have 10 seats, like for Guitar by chords.

As for the workshop digital video, still may register 8 students / as more.

Moreover, in collaboration with youth correspondents, the Department will develop the study skills workshop, which will consist of 10 hours, in which techniques work study and memorization.

The workshop is aimed at students of the IES Infanta Elena and Archbishop Lozano.

Registration of interested youth, should be formalized in the Youth Council, located in the Garden of King Don Pedro.

Registration fees range from 5 to 35 euros, depending on the number of hours a course or workshop, and there are various bonuses and discounts up to 50% of the fee for children under 14, children under 35 years unemployed and those who have the Youth Card.
