Over 180 local boards of AECC, throughout the region, met in Jumilla are given to celebrate its 44th Regional Assembly (28/04/2014)

For over four decades, the Spanish Association Against Cancer, AECC, in the Region of Murcia, held every year a Regional Assembly in which the various local boards that make up the Provincial Committee, present their concerns and projects.

Jumilla, the town was chosen this year to celebrate the 44th Regional Assembly, which was held at the Teatro Vico.

Square Top was the first stop in the morning, where an exhibition of drums held by the "Blood of Christ" Association.

From there, in the parish church of Santiago, D. Jorge Oliva celebrated a Mass for participants in the Assembly.

The mayor of Jumilla, Enrique Jimenez, and members of the government team, then received the chairmen and presidents of local boards in the region, and members of the Executive Council in the Council Chamber of City Hall, where after a few words of welcome, the mayor and the president of the AECC in Murcia, Agustin Navarrete, a reminder of the day were exchanged.

After the meeting with the local authorities, the Teatro Vico in the 44th Assembly of the AECC in the Region of Murcia, in which were represented the 180 local boards throughout the Community began.

Head of the table, the mayor of Jumilla and Agustin Navarrete, were accompanied by Vice President of the Association, Manuel Molina Bois, president of the local board of Jumilla, María Calvo Pepa Ladron de Guevara, treasurer and secretary.

Following the exchange of views among the participants, the Assembly ended with the presentation of awards to various members of local boards with diplomas and pin V voluntary.

Thus, the diplomas the work of volunteers in local boards that carry more than 25 years, or recognized, those who during the past year 2013, have ceased to hold office within the Association.

Jumilla, with this diploma were recognized Mari Carmen Lozano, Cati Martínez and María José García.

Moreover, the jumillanas Barbara Thomas, Agatha Canals, and Mari Carmen Herrero I are presented the Volunteer V pin.

The event ended with a convivial meal in the "Salons Pius XII."
