The Civil Guard dismantled a boy band dedicated to burglary in Jumilla (12/06/2014)

The Guardia Civil of the Region of Murcia, in collaboration with the local police in Jumilla and under the 'Plan against burglary', developed the 'Silopi' operation, which has resulted in the arrest of three youths, to which is attributed the alleged authorship of a dozen robberies in homes and cottages.

Moreover, it has recovered over a hundred stolen items.

The investigation began last May when agents specializing in public safety prevention detected committing numerous robberies in urban homes and cottages of Jumilla and environment of this municipality.

Early investigations focused on a group of young people who had been identified by the Guardia Civil when traveling in a vehicle loaded with lots of floor tiles and natural stone of unknown origin.

These indications have led to the establishment of joint devices composed of civil guards and local police Jumilla, for monitoring the movements and activities, daily, carried the suspects.

In one of the developed devices now occupied by the arrest and at the time of identification of various objects carrying illicit origin vehicle was located.

This has particular application for a warrant to enter and search the related three arrested, which has involved more than one hundred objects, such as appliances, household items, electronics and audiovisual material, housing and 3,750 euros in cash.

So far, have been clarified a total of seven offenses of burglary, although given the size of the effects seized, the alleged relationship is presumed detainees in more than a dozen robberies to be determined.

The detainees,-one of them minor, all Spaniards and neighboring Jumilla and Albatana (Albacete) -, the proceedings initiated and retrieved effects have been made available to the Court of Instruction No. 2 of Jumilla (Murcia), who has spoken imprisonment of provisionally detained Wholesale old, the other being released with charges and the third, minor, available to the Office of Children of Murcia.

The Civil Guard, within the 'Plan against burglary' preventive measures has increased surveillance of homes, mainly on those which, to be isolated, can be easily subject to property crimes.
