According to the deadlines set by the Ministry of Public Works in relation to the works of the A-33, today Wednesday, June 25, will proceed to the opening session of the tender dossier for the three batches that has divided the section between Jumilla and Yecla from the new highway.
As previously announced by the Ministry in January this year, the construction project was divided into three sections, in order to allow more opportunities would award work for companies, and it also could work simultaneously on all them, so that deadlines be shortened according to the notice in forty months.
This stretch of highway is an alternative to the old N-344, along which 5,500 vehicles daily, of which up to 23% are heavy.

The three construction contracts define a dual carriageway redrawing 23.4 km between Jumilla and Yecla.
In order to save the landforms as the Rambla de Jumilla, and enable continuity of existing linear works, ensuring the permeability of the highway, one viaduct, 14 overpasses and underpasses will be built in August.
