The English teacher, Harold James Plaskett is the third consecutive year with Night Chess Tournament III "Castillo de Jumilla" (04/08/2014)

The Castillo de Jumilla, was on Saturday, the stage III Night Chess Tournament, which for the third year, remains in the hands of the English Grand Master, Harold James Plaskett, again the winner of this edition.

With a 65 chess players, chess tournament Night "Ciudad de Jumilla" has had the participation of players from Murcia, Valencia and Castilla La Mancha, in addition to its own participants of the organizing club, Chess Coimbra Jumilla, who presented with a bottle of wine to the top ten overall, besides the trophies to the top three finishers in the senior category and U-14.

Harold James Plaskett was the overall winner, after winning seven games played (one before the Great Argentine Master Alfredo Giaccio, who was second overall) in the edition of 2014 held at the Patio de Armas jumillana strength.

The third place went to Almanseñas Javier Marques Boq.

Jumillano, Alejandro Castellanos, with 5 points occupied the sixth place in the overall standings after losing in both matches against the Grandmasters Plaskett and Giaccio.

In Under-14 beat Emilio Sanchez Serrano from Almansa, being the first local Jorge Sánchez Gómez with 4 points.

The trophy ceremony was chaired by the Councillor for Sports, Juan Manuel Abellan, accompanied by two representatives of the Chess Club "Coimbra" Pascual Francisco Javier Siguenza y Castellanos.

Within the schedule of the tournament, the Grand Master Argentine Alfredo Giaccio, based in Lorca, Jumilla advantage of his stay to give a lecture to the children of the school Chess Club "Coimbra", held in Roque Baños Sociocultural Center.
