The Councillor for Health, Almudena Martinez, held a meeting with President Jumillano Association for the Integration of Mental Disorders (AJITM), José María Fernández, which was also attended by psychologists and social worker volunteers in the association.
During the meeting various issues were addressed, such as the activities being carried out by the association and projects aimed at raising social awareness about mental illness.
The association is also planning related to World Mental Health Day, with a lecture on substance use and mental health will be held on Friday, October 10th at 20.00 in the hall of the Roque Baños activities Gavilanes where the problems of substance abuse and mental health, with the help of the coordinator of the Center for Mental Health, Ana María García Herrero will address.
Moreover, the departments of Health, Sports and Civic Participation, also hope to involve in this association II Health Fair and Sport is expected to be held the last weekend of October.
