About 158,000 euros investment will be carried out by the Ministry of Agriculture in asphalt two roads submitted by the City of Jumilla Regional Rural Roads Plan, which eventually will have budgetary provision for implementation.
This is explained by the Councillor for Agriculture, Francisco Martínez Escandell, who yesterday visited the two roads to be asphalted accompanied by the Head of Service Infrastructure of the Ministry of Agriculture, and several technicians and Community Hall.
On the one hand, with asphalt asphalted road that connects the village of Torre del Rico with Capitos, in a stretch of 2 kilometers and 200 meters.
The other road was put up, in this case with asphalt distributors, will be the path of Escandelles, the municipality only way that leads to a core rural residents throughout the year, and still remains unpaved, on a stretch of mile.
Work will begin in mid-month and have advanced as from the Ministry of Agriculture, the roads could be finalized before the year ends.
These actions fall within the new period of the Rural Development Programme, PDR, 2014-2020, for the design of rural roads that serve farms and in turn, serve as a link between rural communities.
The Rural Development Programme ended in 2013, so that the Ministry has opened a new six-year term to continue the proceedings, defining the territorial needs.
As highlighted by Francisco Martínez Escandell, "this is an important investment for Jumilla, with nearly 158,000 euros to improve accessibility to rural areas of our municipality such as the Houses of Poveda in Capitos and the Houses of Escandelles, another example of the commitment of the Community rural development of the region. "
