In order to encourage the active participation of youth in sustainable water use and care of the environment, HIDROGEA and its subsidiaries including Aguas de Jumilla is included, organized the First Literary Contest, "Smart Water Stories" whose winning entries have known this morning, in an act that has made awards to authors of selected stories.
Councillor for Education, Alicia Abellán, and the manager of Aguas de Jumilla, have been part this morning of this award, the winners have been, in the category of Bachelor at regional level, the young jumillano Iván Ruiz Alarcón, the IES Infanta Elena, for the story "Memoirs" who has achieved an iPad Mini and a lot of books.
In the category of Secondary Jumillano Mimouna the Concerted Center Badi Cruz de Piedra, has won the second place among all entries from throughout the region, for the work "Raindrop", awarded an E-Book and also with a lot of books.
The I Literary Contest organized by Hidrogea and its subsidiary company, Aguas de Jumilla, aims to contribute to the diffusion of water culture through literature.
In its first year, the competition has received 70 reports submitted by students from different municipalities Murcia, Cartagena, Lorca, Torre Pacheco, Sewer, Beniel, San Javier, and Jumilla.
Of all the presented Ivan Alarcón became the first prize of Bachelor and Mimouna Badi, with the second secondary.
As highlighted by the Councillor for Education "Friday the World Water Day was celebrated with the intention of spreading the importance of their rational use. The Region of Murcia, and Jumilla, have problems of water scarcity, so this awareness that leads Aguas de Jumilla, takes a more important value if possible, since about educating in the proper use of water and sustainable development through a great initiative, as it is a literary contest in which two jumillanos ye selected within the winning entries from throughout the region. "
Meanwhile the manager of Aguas de Jumilla highlighted as "born this first competition motivated by passion that drives Aguas de Jumilla, for water culture and commitment as a socially responsible company, with the formation of future generations in the importance of sustainable use of resources ".
