Equality and COAG promoting three workshops of work and handicrafts from Jumilla (08/04/2015)

The Department of Equality is collaborating once again with COAG-IR, in conducting various courses to be developed over the coming months, all related to work, and crafts such as making rag dolls, carpets or costumes from Jumilla.

All entries will be formalized until Wednesday, April 15, in General Register of the City of Jumilla or COAG-IR Office.

The courses will be held in the train you academia, located on Calle Cura Navarro, n ° 1 Low, and is aimed at women of all ages.

On the one hand, on 9,10,16,17,23 and 24 April, the Workshop for the Development of ragdolls, with a total duration of 30 hours and 9.20 hours to 13.35 hours will be developed and Saturday, April 11 from 9.00 to 14.00.

Another proposal is the Workshop for the Development of jumillana wallpaper or carpet, with a duration of 40 hours.

The course will be for 13, 14, 20, 21, 27, 28 April and 4, 5, 11, May 12, at 16.30 hours to 20.30 hours.

During this workshop, participants will learn to make a wallpaper or carpet where reflected monuments, festivals, and local products appear.

The tapestry is unique and developed with the participation of all students of the workshop, with the techniques of rapid needle and patchwork.

Finally a workshop for Knowledge and preparation of costumes from Jumilla, this with a duration of 45 hours will also bid.

The development of the various components of Jumilla costume with embroidery techniques, point and crochet, are some of the details to be worked during the workshop, to be held on days 4, 7, 11, 14, 18, 21, 25, 28 May and 1 and 4 June, from 9.30 to 13.30 hours and on Saturday, June 6th from 9.00 to 14.00.

Upcoming activities of the Department of Equality

Within the program of activities organized by the Department, on Thursday, will be a new session of the School of Empowerment, which this time will be devoted to female sexuality.

This is a second part of the session already made a few days ago, and it will return, given the interest aroused among women attending the School.

The talk will be given by a professional of sexology, in order to facilitate understanding of women, their sexuality and sensitivity, thereby strengthening self-esteem and overcoming fears acquired.

As usual, the talk is free and will take place from 17.00 to 18.30, in the Sociocultural Centre Roque Baños.
