The mayors of the municipalities of the Region of Murcia, with the presence of the first local mayor, Juan Guardiola, have been working double session this week in Murcia.
They met at the Ministry of Agriculture to launch the new Leader Plan, covering the period 2014-2020.
It has been established September 24 as the deadline for the formation of Local Action Groups, which this time should consist of at least five municipalities each.
They should also prepare the strategies to follow in order to access aid which, in the new Leader Plan, have been reduced 50% over the previous.
The objective of this aid the Leader Plan 2014-2020 focuses on promoting local development in rural areas, facilitate the development of employment through the creation of small businesses and encourage diversification and equality.
Moreover, also several mayors of municipalities in Murcia and most Council of Tourism held a meeting at the Institute of Tourism of the Region of Murcia with the CEO of this organization, Manuel Fernandez-Delgado Thomas.
This meeting served as first contact to discuss different issues with a view to promoting organizing strategies going forward in Murcia pavilions to be installed in the next edition of Fitur, which in 2016 overtook their dates, developed between the 20th and 24 January.
This appointment follows reaffirming itself as the largest business platform for the Spanish tourism industry and benchmark show internationally, where Jumilla Wine Route and want to continue to have a significant presence.
At this second meeting, also he attended the local mayor of Tourism, Maria Pilar Martinez.
