Local Police recommends increasing precaution against theft in private homes (07/07/2015)

In recent weeks there have been reports in the Civil Guard several robberies in private homes in the town.

In this situation, the local police in Jumilla advises the public to take precautions, as it is in the summer months when the number of attempted thefts increases, being a time when most people usually spend more time outside his home.

The modus operandi of thieves being the slip technique, which involves opening the doors of private homes by introducing an x-card or card between the door frame and the latch moves.

Therefore it shows essential that citizens do not forget to lock the door when they leave home, if only for a short time.

"With this simple measure prevents access to any housing, at least with this technique," the chief officer, Antonio Luis Mula, adding that the last reported thefts are occurring in the morning.

Jumilla Local Police is working in collaboration with the various security forces to stop the possible perpetrators of these thefts.

It has also sought the cooperation of citizens, so that if they observe suspicious movements of people who might be preparing one of these robberies, do not hesitate to call 112 to report the matter.
