The Municipal Group IU-Green presented a motion calling on the Minister of Health, Encarna Guillen, the immediate reopening of Jumilla Health Center in afternoon hours.
Also requested the provision of at least two medical / ace and two nurses / as well as administrative staff necessary for proper operation.
Announce they presented this initiative to avoid further deterioration of the resources that the Regional Government of the Popular Party intended to Jumillano health, with the clearest example the closure of the Health Center in evening hours.
Remember that Jumillano Jumillano enjoyed for some time the possibility to choose both the health care and nursing of primary health care, they were given in the afternoon (from 15:00 to 22:00 hours), posed greater convenience for many users, they could balance their life and works and / or familiar with their non-emergency basic health needs.
They argue that because of the budget cuts of the Autonomous Government of the PP, since May 2013 the Health Centre is closed in the afternoon.
Although it was announced at the time as a temporary measure until the following September, it has become a permanent closure of which were not informed users and has involved a serious breach of the rights of the jumillanas families.
From the Municipal Group of the United Left-Greens claim that "They will not remain indifferent to this important health care deficit suffered by all the inhabitants of Jumilla".
They add that this is a comparative disadvantage with respect to other users in other cities of the Region of Murcia, which continue to enjoy primary health care in the afternoon.
End making clear the position from United-Green Left Murcia has always defended: the need for empowerment of all services provided from public health.
It is above all to achieve a universal, free and of similar quality care for all residents, no geographical discrimination.
