Jumillano Association Friends of Music participates in a competition of bands in Minglanilla (14/07/2008)

The event provides three awards and a special for best director.

Will evaluate the pitch, loudness, interpretation and technique, among other things

On 26th July, Jumillano Association Friends of Music (Ajam) participate in the "Third National Exhibition of Bands Enrique García Asensio, organized by the Municipality of Minglanilla (Cuenca), in its first section, with bands between 81 and 110 musicians, according to sources of this musical collective.

For the First Section, the Organizing Committee elected as the work required for all participating bands, the operetta "Pan y Toros" the composer F.

As a work of free choice, Jumillano Association Friends of Music will perform the work: "Praise Jerusalem" by Alfred Reed, and as pasodoble opened: "My mother" Jumillano Roque Baños, directed by Julian Andres Jimenez.

The first band will perform Jumillano Association Friends of Music based on a lottery establishing the order of performance of each of the participating bands and took place on 14 April.

The jury is composed of five persons of recognized musical and will be chaired by the maestro Enrique García Asensio.

The scores range from 0 to 10 points being assessed, among other things, the pitch, loudness, and technical interpretation.

According to the rules of this contest will be three prizes and a special prize for best director.

The other two bands participating are Society Musical "Santa Cecilia" de Requena (Valencia), directed by Carlos Revert Espí and Mislata Music Instruction Center (Valencia), directed by Andrés Valero Castell.
