On Friday August 15th marks the feast of Our Lady of the Assumption, Patroness of Jumilla and on this occasion several events were held in his honor, organized by the Brotherhood that bears his name.
Thus, there was the Solemn Mass in honor of Our Lady of the Assumption Parish Mayor of Santiago and featured a performance of the Coral Canticorum.
In the Eucharist was held ceremony symbolic baton of the mayor to the patron.
Also attending were representatives of different authorities and groups festive.
In the afternoon there was the traditional procession toured different streets of Jumilla, exiting at the North Gate of the Church of Santiago, following Lucerne, Castelar, Plaza de la Constitution and Canovas del Castillo to reach the steps, continuing Calvary Street, Crosses and Miguel Trigueros.
Also participated in this parade festive groups, authorities and the priest José Alberto Cánovas, who headed the procession.
The cover image was shouldered by members of the Brotherhood of St. John the Apostle.
