The council renewed the playground of the Garden of King Don Pedro (29/09/2008)

The municipality of Jumilla, through the area of services, has renewed the playground of the Garden of King Don Pedro.

This space has been expanded to 150 meters long and has installed more items for children, as reported by Councilman Antonio Martínez Services.

This action has been made to improve the playground, "a very symbolic garden which is visited by large numbers of people, which was insufficient," said Martinez.

Before there were only three items and now has six children.

Similarly, before the space was 40 meters has been expanded to 150.

It has recovered a lost area that had no utility.

Instead of sand, has installed a rubber floor, in accordance with current regulations and cushioning any fall.

Councilman Services added that "any tile has been destroyed, but has been covered and can be retrieved in the future."

This decision was taken because "to put the new floor was a 20-inch curb that could be dangerous for children, even at the risk of causing serious injury, so it has been decided up to the level of the tiles and and there is no gap. "

It has also maintained the existing tree with foam coming to the same trunk.

The mayor of Services indicated that this playground is fully accredited and meets all European safety guidelines.

This project has cost about 15,000 euros in equipment and infrastructure for children, to which must be added the civil work has been undertaken by workers in the area of City Services.
