Jumilla could host the next year, a meeting of Bands in the Region of Murcia.
This event could bring together more than 2,000 musicians in our city.
This took him by the representatives of the two bands of Jumilla in a recent meeting with local authorities.
In this meeting were present the Mayor of Jumilla Francisco Abellán, the council of Celebration and Culture, Ildefonso Jimenez and Juan Guardiola, respectively, as well as representatives of the Federation of Music at the Murcia Region and members of the two bands from Jumilla , Jumillano Association Friends of Music and the Music Association "Julian Santos."
The mayor has shown a firm intention that this meeting be held in Jumilla and the city would be responsible for organizing the event with a parade of marching bands and a concert.
Abellán has indicated that "the council is committed to the Federation of Music Band and the two bands of Jumilla in organizing this meeting, which could be in the second half of September 2009."
At the end of the meeting will be an event where all attendees bands perform three pieces, which are: 'La parranda', the anthem of the Federation of Music Bands in the Region of Murcia and the hymn to Jumilla.
It would be the first venue outside Jumilla for conducting this event.
