More than 3,300 people took this past year, the room free internet access in Jumilla (27/01/2009)

The area councilor Jesus Sanchez New Technologies has taken stock of the functioning of the classroom free internet access in 2008 Jumilla.

Over the past year were 3,327 people that made use of the service bulletin, and the number of visits totaled 7,376.

The classroom is located in a room Levante Avenue, 17, bajo.

The total has been an increase, over 2007 of 292 people.

The average age of people who use the classroom is 27 years, the maximum age of users was 65 years and the minimum of children 8 and 9.

The average monthly users is 615 people, separated by age, are under 10 years by 1%, between 10 and 14 7%, between 15 and 19 years by 23% between 20 and 24 years a 22%, 25 to 29 years by 24%, 30 to 39 years by 17% and more than 40 years at 6%.

In regard to gender, highlights that there have been more assistance from men (66.9%) than females (33.1%).

Other statistical data relating to nationality has been that the classroom has been used for 55% of Spanish, and 45% foreigners.

Friday was the day mostly higher employment and youth, however the days that fewer users have been on Thursday.

As to the time of year, quarter, more assistance has been the first and the lowest attendance is the summer months of July, August and September.

Within the control carried out, one can say that the most frequently used pages are primarily government agencies, then pages for jobs and training courses, followed by pages of the media, university sites and different schools in the Region of Murcia, pages leisure, business sale and purchase, and in many cases, has been used to check email.

In this sense, Jesus Sanchez said that "the use of this service are not guaranteed access to certain pages, and there safe and sound from our computer technicians."

The councilor also said new technologies making a series of classroom activities in this free access, or by private companies or public bodies.

Thus, in 2008 there have been a series of introductory courses to computer or internet domain designed to immigrants who are courses funded by the Autonomous Community of Murcia and organized by the Association of Immigrants "New Dawn" courses organized by the Department of Women, also an introduction to computer science and advanced computing, basic social skills courses funded by the Department of Social Services management course Word and Introduction to the Internet organized by the Geriatric Centre "Villa Sofia" Jumilla and introductory courses to computer and internet ASPAJUNIDE organized by the association.

Finally, Jesus Sanchez has been rated "very positively this service, year after year increases in the number of users."
