The project submitted under the slogan 'The Zarzillo' was the winner of the contest of ideas for the rehabilitation of the environment of the Church of El Salvador.
It was a contest organized by the city of Jumilla and he submitted a total of 15 papers.
The winner received 49 points and was the only bid that exceeds the 45 minimum points required by the specifications.
The Mayor of Jumilla and Jury President Francisco Abellán has stated that "in the call have been valued more imaginative projects that best fits with the context of the church and adjacent streets."
As for the winning paper has said that "transgressive project is very advanced, with some great ideas, build more spaces in that area and I think if we get government funding in the next year, will leave the area completely finished and a better image for the whole environment of the Church. "

Besides the first prize, the jury decided to award two runners on proposals that have obtained the highest score, the first project submitted under the slogan 'Red Carpet' and the second called 'My Town, My Identity'
The jury for this contest has been composed by Francisco Abellán Martínez, president of the City Mayor and Chairman of the Jury, Joan Verdú Guardiola, Executive Councillor for Culture, Herminio Poveda García, Head of Technical Services Works and Urbanism, Juan Simón Ruiz, Architect Municipal Technical, Castellá Francisco Molina, Architect of the Department of Fine Arts and Cultural Heritage and acting Secretary, Secretary General of the Corporation, Beatriz Selma Penalva.
This award will be presented during a ceremony to be held on Tuesday 24 February, starting at 12:00 h.
