The Artisan's House is hosting an exhibition on esparto, within the First Conference of Crafts in Jumilla (23/02/2009)

Within the First Conference of Crafts that are being developed in Jumilla, organized by the Association of Artisans in collaboration with the Department of Craft Hall, on Friday held a talk on the esparto and the inauguration of an exhibition with this theme .

These activities took Antonio Garcia, Francisco González and Francisco Jimenez, three craftsmen, specialists rush, the first of Sewer and two of Jumilla.

Among the three, shows about 120 pieces in the exhibition.

As pointed out by artisans, esparto can do all sorts of gadgets, clocks, baskets, baskets, fruit baskets, spartans, mats, lamps, salt shakers, wine glasses, cachuleros and scales, among many others.

To produce these parts spend several days in each.

The artisans of esparto indicate that "the hours it takes to make one of these work, then they are not rewarded, as this work is done rather by fans."

The three agreed that "for this practice is not lost should do more courses and workshops on this theme."

To date there have been talks on the embroidery, as well as oil and next Friday 27 February, the theme of the talk will be the pottery and also will open an exhibition.
