The Department of Agriculture has a copy of mulberry transplanted more than 60 years old (16/03/2009)

Operators and technicians of the Department of Agriculture have undertaken recently, transplantation of a mulberry tree with a length of more than 60 years.

Are realized and to agree, unanimously, last year a Commission of Economy, Industry and Agriculture, as reported by the council in this area, Jesus Sanchez.

The council has noted that "it is at this time because they are the most suitable for transplantation of this tree."

Mulberry has moved from a parcel located along the road of Cieza, a playground of the velodrome in Pueblo Nuevo.

This is a copy of the parcel whose owner has given the City Council to gardens and parkland.

According to technicians, mulberry transplant, once prepared, is over 8,000 kilos.

Jesus Sanchez added that a policy action including recovery of these specimens for public spaces.
