Jumilla Mayor Francisco Abellán been formalized with the Red Cross president Elizabeth Navarro, the agreement with this group for sports coverage in the year 2009.
This agreement increases by one hour preventive weekend, with what passes for coverage of 4 hours to 5 hours each weekend.
Similarly, this agreement will increase the number of sports events that will cover the Red Cross.
It spends 3 fixed events in 2008, seven for 2009.
The events covered in this exercise, some of which have already taken place, are the Mountain Bike del Barrio San Anton in January, the Half Marathon 'Ciudad de Jumilla "in April, the Regional Final Triathlon Sports School in May Triathlon 'Ciudad de Jumilla "held in June, the Urban Cross" Fair and Harvest Festival' in August, the Regional Cross School Sports Final in December and the Fun Run 'Christmas Jumillano' held also in December.
The total spending goes for 8,000 euros invested in 2008 to 20,863 euros for this convention of 2009.
Jumilla Mayor Francisco Abellán has stated that the agreement is achieved "increase both the number of events covered, and the amount of the agreement, and most importantly, safety and prevention for all athletes taking part in these tests. "
For his part, Councillor for Sports José Luis Monreal has indicated that "this allows us to further that all weekend, three games or matches can have this service provided by Red Cross."
Finally, Monreal said that "the intention for next year is to be able to extend this agreement in terms of hours and allow us to raise one more step for safety and amateur athletes."
