The Department of Culture publishes the basis for the literary prize XXXI, 2010 Jumilla City (03/07/2009)

The Department of Culture has made public the bases of the XXXI Jumilla City Literary Award 2010.

It brings forward the deadline for submission of papers at October 31, 2009.

This advance is due, notes the Councillor for Culture Juana Guardiola, "to the vast amount of work we are receiving in this announcement and to allow more time for reading and analysis, by the jury, all entries received. "

The works, in its two forms of verse and short stories should be sent to Hon.

Municipality of Jumilla.

Department of Culture, Canovas del Castillo 35, 30520 Jumilla (Murcia), with reference XXXI Literary Prize "City of Jumilla."

As reflected in these bases, which are published on the website of Jumilla: www.jumilla.org , Culture tab can participate writers of any nationality, except those who have won this award in previous years and always the submitted works are texts written in Spanish and unpublished originals that have not been awarded previously in any other contest.

The works will be presented by the escrow system, appearing in a separate envelope a motto on the outside and inside the name, address, phone number, title of work, photocopy of ID card and a brief resume of the author.

The arrangements are called Short Story and Verse.

The first will have a single winner who will receive the amount of 6,000 and Verse Mode 2,000.

This award may be canceled.

The winning entry will be released by the city of Jumilla and the public presentation will be made in Jumilla.

Prizes will be awarded to the winning authors, who should receive it personally, on 14 May 2010 at a social event to be held in Jumilla.

The jury will consist of five persons to be appointed by the Culture Committee of the Hon.

Jumilla City Council on a proposal from the Department of Culture.

Prior to the meeting of the Jury, may constitute a Commission composed of specialized persons in order to carry out a preliminary selection of papers presented.

The Hon.

Jumilla City Council also reserves for the period stated the publishing rights and transformation of works in other languages and its dissemination in any medium, including film, television or Internet, and even the transfer to publishing for possible public sale.

The original shall be accompanied by a written statement from author to ensure that the rights of the work are not committed, saying if it has been submitted to other competitions still pending.

In the case of works submitted under pseudonyms such certification shall be signed with the pseudonym and never will be included in the envelope of escrow.

If the work was won by Hon.

Jumilla City Council will unveil the names of the author in any actions arising from the condition.

The winning entry will become the property of the City of Jumilla, which shall publish in the year 2010, and referred to in the publication that is the XXXI Literary Award "Ciudad de Jumilla" for the year 2010.
