The Moors and Christians represent their embassies and the parliament (19/08/2009)

After the celebration of Christian input and Mora, two of the most massive acts of the Association of Moros y Cristianos Don Pedro I, took place yesterday representation of Moorish and Christian Embassy and Parliament.

The event was held at the Poet Lorenzo Guardiola walk under the watchful gaze of hundreds of people.

Embassies are a play on which shows the historical moment in which the Christian troops reach the walls of the castle of Jumilla.

This representation was made for more than a dozen people who raised the applause from the audience.

Las Fiestas de Moros y Cristianos de Jumilla, according to a Chapter Acts, held since 1614.

Through these festivals, the city is immersed in the XIV century, with a colorful activities, with a theatrical component, representative of history that shows the Muslim invasion and domination in the Iberian peninsula for several hundred years left a big footprint in society.
