4 Paws denounced "the helplessness of animals killed in Jumilla" and calls for cooperation of citizens to investigate similar cases (04/09/2009)

Note sent by 4 feet Jumilla:

Summer always makes getting to the protectors of animals sad stories of dogs abandoned, abused and forgotten, but in August, Jumilla, was one of those stories that lead to impotence to prove, again, unjustified cruelty that human beings can reach with helpless.

A 4 feet came the announcement of a couple of dogs in the hamlet of La Celia, in the town of Jumilla, who were about to be parents.

Were abandoned and were photographed to find homes as quickly as possible.

Days later, was a litter of 6 beautiful puppies, but the family could enjoy barking just a little time together.

Soon after, when the volunteers were at the scene to see how they were puppies and start them out of there, they discovered that two adult dogs were savagely killed, leaving her 6 young orphan.

The mother, a tan long-haired dog, was beheaded and had a gash in the belly.

The male was broken neck.

Can never prove who did it or what led to it, even from 4 feet believe it could have been someone local who does not welcome the presence of stray dogs.

The offense will go unpunished because, made known to the Nature Protection Service of the Guardia Civil, the hopes of finding the culprit or culprits are void.

However, the 6 puppies and live happily with their adoptive families.

Some have been adopted by Jumillano and others play and in Madrid and Barcelona.

A sad comfort to a brutal and cruel action that should never occur.

From 4 feet asking the cooperation of citizens to help clarify the cases of abuse, neglect or killing of animals because, often, witnesses are the only way to reach the culprits.

The association regrets that all such atrocities may never be prosecuted and that very few complaints, even with evidence, finished with a strong sanction.
