Approved the proposed construction of a roundabout at the junction of San Agustin (19/10/2009)

Last Friday was held an extraordinary plenary session which unanimously approved the project of building a roundabout in San Augustine.

As stated by the Mayor of Jumilla and Councillor of Public Works and Urbanism "this roundabout will significantly improve the circulation in the area at the crossroads between the Avenue of the Assumption, Santa Ana Road, Avenue Road Christ Strap and Cieza.

It is one of the works included in the Works and Services Plan 2010 and it was adopted unanimously at the last Works Committee and ratified in that extraordinary plenary session.

The bill, drafted by the civil engineer Francis of Assisi, has a total cost of 324,379 euros, of which the Autonomous Community will contribute 209,340 euros and 115,039 euros municipality of Jumilla, amount allocated in the budget of next year.

Thanks to this project roundabout will improve the infrastructure affected by the work, ie, supply networks, gas networks and water supply, as well as firm and pavements.

Another planned installation of gutters to collect rainwater that drains directly into the bed of the wadi.

This roundabout, according to the project, will be ordered with two distinct areas, one paved the same way as the sidewalks, where you will enter the chapel and a green area, located in the back of the chapel.

The section of the roundabout carriageway will be 10.5 meters wide (two lanes) and sidewalk outside of 2 feet wide.

The outer radius is 40 meters and 27.5 meters inside.
