Nearly 1,000 children from Jumilla will visit the council to understand its functioning (02/12/2009)

This morning we have started the tours to the city of Jumilla, in the program of events 'Know your council' that has organized the Department of Citizenship to commemorate the Spanish Constitution.

Today, visitors have been students of the school Santa Ana, accompanied by their teachers and a tour guide showed them the different departments of the municipality and has spoken of the building's history.

Wednesday and Thursday morning will do the school children of the Assumption.

In total, over three days and attached to the kids who attend the full child will be nearly 1,000 children who visit the City through this activity.

The Councillor for Citizen Participation Ildefonso Jimenez expressed his satisfaction with the response and interest of students and has taken the opportunity to "invite the citizens of any age to visit the town hall."

Of these, 500 have been prepared but is intended to print more copies.

They will be available to residents at City Hall.

Within the 'Know your council', on December 4 Kids is hosting a plenary, which will involve all students in Primary 6, a total of 11 groups, from schools in Jumilla.

To select students to be 'the council' has done a drawing competition on 'What is for you the City' in each school will select two people and among the 22 selected papers, a jury will select the top three Prizes to be the figure of the Mayor, the Secretary and the Auditor.

There will be two sessions, one at 12:00 and another at 12:45, although the full components are the same.

Finally, on December 4, but at 20.00, will perform an Age of Majority Act.

During this, the 250 young people are counted and Spanish (as there are countries where the majority is not achieved at 18 years) who in 2009 met the majority will be received by the corporation.
