Interior Minister Alfredo Perez Rubalcaba, and the Mayor of Jumilla, have signed a collaboration agreement for the construction of the new Civil Guard barracks in the town.
Under that agreement, the City assumes contracting, implementation and financing of the work of the barracks, either directly or through a third party.
The building is to be built on a plot of over 4,000 square meters will have two separate units, one for government agencies and other residential use.
The implementation period is 20 months.
Once construction is completed, the municipality of Jumilla assign the new headquarters of the Ministry of Interior.
In return the City will receive the site which is currently located the Civil Guard barracks in the Avenida de la Asunción.
