The council establishes a fee of 0.87 euros per head of cattle, considering the plan for the use of public utility mounts (02/03/2010)

The General Directorate of Natural Heritage and Biodiversity of the Ministry of Agriculture and Water of the Autonomous Community of Murcia, has submitted to City Council a written Jumilla communicate the approval of the Plan of Utilization of municipal forests, including in that plan the grass harvesting, detailing the relationship of forests in the municipality of Jumilla, the number of heads, size, duration and pricing in order to proceed with the award of these uses of pasture.

Farmers interested in making use of the use must be submitted to the service indicated, the primer livestock in place and Record Book Cattle Farm and establish the said fee of 0.87 euros in accordance with the provisions of the General Natural Heritage and Biodiversity.

The Local Board also approved that the fees once paid by the farmer, the City would issue a permit or authorization for the use of pasture for 20101, which will be submitted to any authority that requests it.

Sanchez has stated that "if you do not pay this fee, the livestock owner could face penalties and fines, according to the number of heads, by the General Directorate of Natural Heritage and Biodiversity of the Ministry of Agriculture and Water the Autonomous Community of Murcia, more than 3,000 euros. This use applies to all public forests of Jumilla, a total of 15,842 head of livestock, including sheep and goats, which belong to about 90 cattle farms.
